The Jet Sweat has to have an opening that it can be extracted through and then a plug is screwed into it. THe Jet Sweat can also be used through a full port ball or gate valve. This way once you make the joint at the valve, you have a good way to control that water you could not stop. Wonder Bread was always the favorite, just rember to always remove the crust before using.

Post Edited I use jet sweats or drop a belly in the line to let water puddle some place away from soldering point. Most importantly, breaking the vaccum in the area where I work to keep water from continuously dripping.
